Fresno Co-Housing

Check out this development in North Fresno called La Querencia. It is a 28 unit sustainable neighborhood with common areas, pools, vegetable gardens, and solar panels. It looks pretty neat, and if I were in any position to be buying a house right now, this would be something I might consider. These are the kind of things of which Fresno should try and get a lot more.

I'm glad you discovered cohousing, Luke. I was at the groundbreaking for that project and I'm looking forward to getting there for the grand opening in October.

I've been to more than 80 different cohousing neighborhoods across the U.S., and lived in two, and I'm impressed with both the plans and the community of La Querencia. Every community takes on the character of its surrounding environment, so I look forward to seeing the true spirit of Fresno reflected there.

While it is primarily a homeowner model, sometimes people buy units in community and rent them out.. you might look into whether that is an option for you.
